Communicating Effectively Regarding Returning to Work Before, During and After a Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant

This month’s call-in program will feature Rachel Becker, LMSW, Deputy Director of Cancer and Careers, who will share practical information and guidance for returning to work after time off for treatment. Whether it is part-time, full-time or in a completely different career, Rachel will cover disclosure issues, how to “swivel” in sticky conversations and so much more. Additionally, Kayla Terrell, a survivor of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) with a Philadelphia chromosome positive, who recently returned to work as a nurse practitioner, will share her experience and lessons learned. Jennifer Gillette, LMSW and our program host, will share her professional pearls of wisdom and effective coping skills. There will be plenty of time for live questions.
